Besides the resources you find here, there is other assistance available to veterans through recognized Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) as defined by the VA. VA and the AZ Department of Veteran Services can also assist in finding additional resources. Vietnam Veterans of America is a recognized VSO and has services officers that can assist you. Arizona Resources for Veterans

A number of searches leading to our site are veterans looking for information in their community. This page will help you locate the nearest facility that can help you. Their services are free.
  • Veterans Administration - Provides assistance with Disability Claims, Burials, Dependent Compensation, GI Bill, Medical, Home Loans, Retraining, and homelessness.
  • Arizona Deptart of Veteran Services - Also provides assistance with disability claims, financial assistance, burials, and other veteran services.
  • Non-Profit and other Organizations - Provide assistance for homeless veterans and transitional housing for veterans and their families, counseling, substance abuse, and other services.
  • Arizona Government - One Stop - Provides veterans with resumes, job searches, and training opportunities.

Veterans Service Organizations

The Veterans Administration has approved certain veteran organizations to assist veterans with claims applications and assistance with other VA benefits. Arizona has numerous VSO's including Vietnam Veterans of America.VSO's do not charge for filing claims and veterans should be wary of companies and individuals that charge fees for filing claims.
